Now that Warren and Kirsty have managed to clean up and re-open their superb Melbourne bookshop after a recent plumbing mishap, they’ve lined up some superb talks and presentations which you’re going to want to see.

First up, tomorrow (October 13), is Professor Tim Berra, an “acknowledged Darwin expert [and] … author of over 75 scientific papers and six books, including Evolution and the Myth of Creationism and A Natural History of Australia. His latest book Charles Darwin: The Concise Story of an Extraordinary Man forms the basis of this fascinating presentation, which deals with Darwin’s life, family, influences and significance to science and western thought.” – Warren Bonnet, http://embiggenbooks.com/blog/?p=1097.

This talk begins at 6.30pm and you should call Embiggen Books on 03 9662 2062 to check if there are any seats left.

Next week, on Thursday 20th October from 6pm is the book launch of Dr Jean Ely’s CONTEMPT OF COURT: Unofficial Voices from the DOGS Australian High Court Case 1981, which details the “1981 challenge in the high court of Australia to the constitutional validity of Commonwealth aid to religious schools.” – Warren Bonnet, http://embiggenbooks.com/blog/?p=1131.

This event features several additional speakers, including comedian Rod Quantock, activist & former Vic ALP politician Joan Coxsedge, and Australia New Zealand National Secular Association Director and author, Max Wallace.

Once again, RSVP to Embiggen on 03 9662 2062  to reserve your spot.
